Petteia — The Mother of Chess
1. Agreement
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Petteia — The Mother of Chess ("Petteia", "the Platform"), operated by Sameer Maldar ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Petteia.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Platform.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account.
- Provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
- One person may not maintain multiple accounts to manipulate ratings, leaderboards, or tournaments.
- Notify us at thisdelivery@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to follow our Community Guidelines. In particular, you must not:
- Cheat, use chess engines or bots in rated games, or manipulate ratings or results.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users, or post hateful, illegal, or sexual content.
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Platform.
- Use the Platform for spam, scams, or unauthorised advertising.
5. Fair play and moderation
We may review conduct and content and take action — including removing content, warnings, muting, suspension, or permanent bans — to protect the Platform and its users. Serious violations may result in an immediate ban without prior warning.
6. Intellectual property
The Platform, the game, its artwork, the Petteia name, and all related intellectual property are owned by Sameer Maldar or its licensors. You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the Platform for your own non-commercial entertainment, as further described in our EULA.
7. User content
You retain ownership of content you post (such as forum messages), but grant us a licence to host, display, and moderate it as needed to operate the Platform. You are responsible for content you post and must have the right to post it. See our Copyright / DMCA Policy for infringement reports.
8. Fees
Petteia is currently free to play. If we introduce paid features in future, the terms and any refunds will be described at the point of sale and in our Refund Policy.
9. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee the Platform will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Platform. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
11. Termination
You may stop using Petteia and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or the Community Guidelines. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) continue to apply.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by other reasonable means. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
